I am one who believe that we can't do all things by ourselves so with that said , we need other people to help us along the way. When i was a kid my coach told me < Eddie i would rather have 5 good players then one super star because 5 people can get more done then one person can ever get done and symbolically we can apply that to everything we do in life. I believe that we as a community can make things a little better if we come together (team work), and we must use what we have and who ever we have to change things for the better. I do all that i can to help out the community because i now feel apart of it and i would like to try and take care of it by helping some of these young guys try to change the way they see life , community and themselves. Together We Can, so lets work together.

I always enjoy your blog and your perspective on life! A team is always better than one, I agree! I believe that as long as everyone understands that no one person is greater than the team so much can be done to improve our community! DC has so many politicians sometimes it will take some time to figure out who is on the same team and who is trying to be the superstars. But u have to remain vigilant and keep your passion for change. You are speaking for all the people who are locked up and theur families who do not realize they have a voice. Please stay strong and continue to fight and push forward for everyone!!
First of all i would like to say that no man(human being) can make it through life alone and a team can make life so much better for you because it allows you work in your zone and your team mates to work in their zone, but when you'll bring it together it becomes one.you don't need someone on your team who is a look at me type of person because they will hurt a team because it's about them and not the overall situation or the team.When you have good team mates you can get more done with them then by yourself.I believe that i am a leader at heart ,but i am also a team person who love working with other people to bring about change. Please be very careful of those look at me/it's about me type of people because they are selfish and about themselves.
I totally agree. My opinion is that what makes up a team are individuals who have a common goal and agenda in mind and these individuals make a concerted effort to accomplish that goal and they do that by utilizing each person’s strength and abilities to the fullest by allowing each team mate to contribute sans ego or jealousy. I think that this ideology is effective in a number of circumstances whether it’s family, community or political etc. and this is one way that progress, moving forward and advancement occurs. I think it’s important though for each individual to see what role/position each person plays, how vital that role is and to respect it for what it is. One teammates position may be to lead, be decision maker one may be to support, one may be to execute the plan. And it takes every one of those elements to accomplish the goal. I think that this sort of strategy helped to get Obama in office. He selected who he thought had the same passion as him who were experts in what they did and he respected them for what they contributed. He has enough insight to understand that that is how his foundation of working minds needed to be structured. To this day when he speaks on acquiring office he says “we” which says a lot. Teamwork and working together is contagious too, when most people see others working together or helping in any situation it inspires others to do the same.
Camille, you hit it right on the head and when my coach told us that(me and my team mates), he knew that his example applied to life as a whole and not just to the football team. I believe that if we as people work together in our communities we can make things better ,not perfect! I feel that everyones role is important to the other,so people please know that a team can get more done then one person can.
