I believe that alot of kids fall short because they're seeking something and want to be apart of something and I'm not a parent, but i know where i went wrong. What can we do as a community to keep our kids safe, from going to prison, from having kids early, dropping out of school etc... ?
How can we help the kids/teenagers who have already made bad choice's ?
How can we keep the others kids/teenagers from not making those bad choice's ?

We can help those who made bad choices by giving them hope that they can still make something out of themselves show them that you believe in them so that they will believe in themselves. Show them that they have the power of choice. invest in their future so that they know that you care by providing alternatives to them through programs and recreation activities. They need support though. Some teenagers lack maturity and need guidance on how to improve their circumstances.
You can help teenagers from making bad decisions by being present in their life show them you care by spending quality time with them talking to them about how for every action there is a consequence good or bad.
Many different factors can contribute to a child making bad decisions and going astray from doing right but as a parent, I feel like the most important things is to establish a strong bond, have mutual respect, provide a stable environment and positive role models, being present emotionally and physically and not giving up on them and having high expectations. Showing them that no matter what you believe in them and you will be there for them. Kids need to know they have support and that people care they are ultimately going to make the decision on which direction they will take in life and what choices they will make but with these supports in place the chances are greater that they may make good choices for themselves. Parents and guardians need support too to know how to handle their kids and how to guide and support them.
I believe that we can become better people after we make bad choice's even though alot of people don't believe that. We need to support and be there for the kids and show them how to become responsible young peopel and responsible adults.The kids are the future and we must do our best to prepare them for life, we can't allow the school system to just teach them, we can't allow the corner's to hold them down. WE must try to put them in the best situation that they can be successful in.
